ASUS/WAO Tours The ASUS/WAO offers guided educational presentations to schools and the general public. During the 45-minute guided tour of the facility, each animal's story is told in an effort to discourage the ownership of these animals as pets. ASUS/WAO is not a zoo and does not allow any hands on whatsoever. ASUS/WAO is a sanctuary and the well being of its animals comes first.
During the forty-five minute guided tour of the sanctuary, you will learn the stories of it's 150 permanent exotic animal residents. Children and adults learn a valuable lesson in animal welfare and environmental awareness.
Animals such as Lions, Tigers, Cougars, Bobcats, and Monkeys are among the many different species that can be viewed up close in semi-natural surroundings. Every tour taken at the ASUS/WAO helps provide financial support for the residents of this non-profit permanent sanctuary.
