Kirbyville TX Bears - 1999 PDF Print E-mail

October 1999: 3 adult bears (1 Russian grizzly and 2 European brown bears) were found locked in a small cage inside this trailer. Houston Zoo veterinarians and staff kindly came to the aid of these unfortunate animals who were then transported to the Wild Animal Orphanage.

All of these bears were underweight, grossly stunted and one of the females was very pregnant.
