MARCH DONATIONS MAY HAVE GONE UP IN SMOKE!

On March 24th, 2008 the US Postal Service Truck delivering mail from Dallas to San Antonio was unfortunately in an accident and almost everything it was carrying burned.

The Animal Sanctuary of the United States/Wild Animal Orphanage had just sent out a mailing of 150,000 pieces throughout the United States.

This mailing brings in the donations that cover our monthly operating costs.

We cannot say exactly how much funding was lost but based on previous mailings, but we are showing a drastic decline in donations.

We spoke in length with the Post Office and unfortunately there is no recourse that we can take to make up for this loss.

We can only estimate at this time that we may have lost $15,000 to $20,000 in this accident.
